Water Damage to Café Premises

What happened: A café experienced water damage after an internal water line failed, causing ongoing leaks throughout the premises. The incident damaged ceilings, internal finishes, and a ceiling-mounted sound system, which began malfunctioning immediately following the water ingress.

A key complication was that the café’s sound system had been discontinued, and only part of the system appeared damaged.

How we helped: We managed the claim from start to finish, coordinating the insurer’s loss adjuster, engineers, builders, and specialist contractors. Technical evidence was obtained to demonstrate that partial replacement of the sound system was not feasible and that full replacement was required to achieve functional reinstatement under the policy.
