Hail Damage to Residential Properties
What happened: During the 2020 to 2021 storm season, a client’s two residential properties sustained hail damage to their roofing. The damage was not immediately visible and was only identified in late 2023, well after the storm events had occurred.
Due to the time delay, the claim required detailed evidence to establish the cause and timing of the damage and to address insurer concerns around wear and tear versus storm impact.
How we helped: Our team conducted a comprehensive review of available documentation, coordinated expert assessments, and prepared supporting evidence to demonstrate the damage was consistent with insured storm events. We engaged in ongoing discussions with the insurer and challenged initial settlement positions that did not reflect the full extent of the loss.
Outcome: Through persistent claims advocacy, we secured a final settlement of $236,076.82, allowing the client to complete necessary repairs across both properties and achieve a fair outcome under their policy.
